Janet Jackson to join Justin Timberlake's 2018 Super Bowl halftime show?

As far as Super Bowl halftime shows go, among the most famous (or infamous) performances was of Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson's. Now that Justin Timberlake has been announced to do the Super Bowl Halftime show in 2018, it does make people wonder if he will bring Janet Jackson with him again.

Apparently not. According to two sources from E! News, Jackson is not planning on performing at the Super Bowl next year. Jackson reportedly cannot perform due to scheduling conflicts for her own tour as well. However, Jackson is reportedly happy to hear that Timberlake will be performing again and thinks that he will do an amazing job as usual. The source went on to add that Jackson wishes him a great performance ahead, and that they had some great memories working together.

Upon the announcement, it did stir some questions from fans on whether or not Timberlake would use this performance to reunite with her, after the infamous wardrobe malfunction that occurred during the 2004 halftime show. Jackson ended up drawing a lot of criticism after that incident and it even got her banned from presenting an award at the Grammy Awards a week after the event.

Is Jackson up for performing with Timberlake again? Absolutely. According to a source from Entertainment Tonight, the door is open for the singer to perform on the Super Bowl stage if given the opportunity. The source went on to say that if ever Timberlake or his team would ever reach out, Jackson would be more than happy to do it.

This time around, Timberlake assured in an interview with Sunday Night Football that wardrobe malfunctions will not be happening. As for what he plans for his halftime set, another source told E! News that he will be playing his classic material.
