Apple is cooking up more exciting upgrades for the iPad Pro 2. The company's efforts will reportedly be geared towards improving the Apple Pencil.
According to Bloomberg, the Cupertino-based company is planning "a handwriting and drawing stylus aimed at professionals"
The Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro 2 is also expected to allow users to annotate objects in various applications including Mail, the Safari web browser, and iMessage.
The site also claimed that apart from an enhanced Apple Pencil, the iPad Pro 2 will also boast "faster display technology," which will make zooming, panning and scrolling a seamless experience.
Apple also plans to whip up some additional software features with the next iPad Pro though the iOS 10 mobile operating system.
These features won't come until next year, where Apple is expected to update the OS, which rolls out next month. However, the tech giant is reportedly mulling over saving them for iOS 11 instead.
Meanwhile, the iPad Pro 2 is not the only iPad expected to be released next year. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed in his latest research notes that Apple will also come out with a 10.5-inch version to replace the 9.7-inch model from earlier this year.
However, there will still be an iPad unit with that same size, but the reputed Apple expert said it will be "low cost" with an A9Xprocessor as opposed to an A10X chipset, which the abovementioned iPad Pros will get.
There's no word yet when it comes to the rest of the key specifications of the iPad Pro 2. It is, however, speculated that the tablet line will also push Apple to end the iPad mini line.
Although there are reports that the iPad mini 5 is set for release next month, Mac Rumors says that Apple might be done with it since the company is putting emphasis on the Apple Pencil, which the tablet does not have.
The Plus versions of the iPhones might also render the iPad mini obsolete as it is only slightly larger at 7.5 inches.
