Apple has just recently launched a number of brand new products, including its latest iPhone and a brand new Apple Watch, but there seems to have been an oversight of some kind by the company as they have not really mentioned anything regarding a new iPad Pro for this year. Fans who have been waiting for the new iPad Pro 2 are apparently starting to get concerned as Apple has not disclosed anything yet regarding the new product.
Despite the absence of the iPad Pro 2 during the recent launch events held by Apple, numerous reports are still coming out online which have revealed some of its possible specs and features.
According to reports, the new iPad Pro 2 will apparently be taking some cues from its iOS-run siblings and sport some of their apps and features.
Rumor reports have revealed that the new iPad Pro 2 will likely be coming with an improved touchscreen display which will make it smoother to navigate. The display improvements will also help users have an easier time with writing or drawing on the device using the Apple Pencil. The device is reportedly going to be catering more towards professionals who will find more apps and functionalities that are compatible with the Apple Pencil pre-installed on the device.
New reports have also suggested that the device will likely be coming in three distinct screen size variants. The largest size will reportedly be a 12.9-inch display variant, followed by a 10.5-inch model, and finally a compact and budget-friendly 9.7-inch model.
While the two large-screened variants will reportedly be getting an A10X chip on board, the smaller 9.7-inch model will be sporting an A9X chip. The move to incorporate a relatively slower chip on the smaller model is being seen by some as an indication that the 9.7-inch model may be priced significantly lower than its bigger siblings as it will essentially be a low-cost option for consumers.
The iPad Pro 2 is rumored to be coming out sometime in early 2017.
