Apple continues to be true to their word when it comes to providing constant updates for their operating system. The tech giant has now released a new iOS version, iOS 10.1.1. The latest operating system version comes just a week after the release of iOS 10.1, which means that the company may be ramping up their release dates to make sure that all of the issues and bugs in the software is patched up.

The latest update itself isn't a major one, and is only about 70MB in size, depending on the device that is being updated.

Update 10.1, on the other hand, was a major one that contained several new features. Last week's update included a new "Portrait" mode that takes advantage of the dual camera setup on the iPhone 7 plus. iOS 10.1 also added a new Transit directions fix for Apple Maps in Japan, and a "Reduce Motion" setting for screen effects in the Messages app.

iOS 10.1.1 contains some minor bug fixes that are aimed at fixing the issue concerning the health data stored in the device and how it is accessed by the different health apps included in iOS 10.

Since the release of iOS 10. 1, several users have reported an issue with their Health Apps, with some completely losing their activity data from the software. Users were also not able to add any new activity data, which pointed to the app itself being at fault.

The changelog that is posted when applying the update also indicates this to be the reason for the update and specifically mentions that the update "fixes bugs including an issue where Health data could not be viewed for some users."

iOS 10.1.1 is now available to download and is compatible with iPhone 5 models and later, iPad 4th gen and later, and iPod Touch 6th gen and later. Those who do not get a notification to update can simply navigate to the Software Update menu under Settings to initiate the download.
