Fans are now looking forward to the second season of "Inuyashiki" after Hiro Shishigami and Ichiro Inuyashiki's epic battle. However, it looks like this might be too far from happening as the manga version, which the "Inuyashiki: Last Hero" anime is based on, has already ended.

According to reports, there will be no "Inuyashiki: Last Hero" season 2 as its manga version is already finished. With that, fans should enjoy its remaining episode that will be aired on Thursday, Dec. 21.

"Inuyashiki: Last Hero" is based on the manga series by Hiroya Oku that shows how people could change under great circumstances. It tells the story of a 58-year-old man who has oncological disease.

As the newly landed alien ship accidentally kills him, the space invaders insert combat systems to his body to cover up the accident. With that, the old man becomes a fighting cyborg on the inside, while its physical feature still shows his sick, frail self.

Unfortunately, his story will come to an end as there will be no "Inuyashiki" season 2. However, fans are still in for a treat as a live-action movie based on the anime will be hitting the big screen.

In fact, in March 2017, the film adaptation's cast members are already announced. The titular character will be played Noritake Kinashi as Ichiro Inuyashiki, while Takeru Satoh will be playing the role of the villain, Hiro Shishigami.

Other stars that will be seen in the "Inuyashiki" movie adaptation are Mari Hamada as Ichiro's wife, Marie Inu-Yashiki, Nayuta Fukuzaki as Hiro's son, Takeshi Inu-Yashiki, and Ayaka Miyoshi as Ichiro's daughter, Mari Inu-Yashiki. Also, Yuki Saito will be in the film as Hiro's mother, Yuko Shishigami, Fumi Nikaidō as Hiro's girlfriend, Shion Watanabe, and Kanata Hongou as Hiro's school friend, Naoyuki Andō.

As the anime's movie adaptation is said to be a little altered from its original story, a new character will be added. Detective Hagiwara (Yusuke Iseya) will be introduced to the film to investigate the murders made by Hiro.

"Inuyashiki" the movie is expected to be out in 2018.
