Hollywood news: Harvey Weinstein spotted in Beverly Hills?

Hollywood went into a frenzy on Thursday when rumored sightings of disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein at the Beverly Hills Hotel were reported by a couple of actresses including one of his accusers just days before the 2018 Golden Globe awards ceremony.

The rumor circulated when actress Rosanna Arquette posted an update on an unverified Twitter account saying she found it strange how Weinstein is in the same hotel in which the Golden Globe press is being held. Arquette is one of the numerous actresses who have come forward to accuse the disgraced media mogul of sexual harassment and misconduct. The "Pulp Fiction" star told The New Yorker that her career started to decline when she refused a sexual advance from Weinstein in the early 1990s at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Actress Ellen Barkin also responded to the sighting speculations on Twitter, outraged that the "serial rapist" is in Los Angeles. Barkin added that she deliberately forgot to say "alleged" because she "knows better."

However, Weinstein's representatives dismissed the rumors when they reportedly told Page Six that the there is no truth to the gossip. TMZ also posted a photo of Weinstein in Arizona supposedly taken on Thursday afternoon. Weinstein was in a sex rehabilitation clinic in Arizona, but it is unclear if he is still in the state for the same reason.

Actresses who will be attending the Golden Globe awards ceremony are anticipated to wear black on the red carpet in support of sexual harasment victims and the #MeToo movement .

After varying degrees of sexual misconduct allegations including several accusations of rape, Weinstein's team has repeatedly denied that he has never forced himself on anyone.

"Any allegations of nonconsensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein," his team stated.
