In the next episode of "Happy!," ex-cop Nick Sax (Christopher Meloni) and Happy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) search for clues at a strip club.

The trailer and sneak peek for the upcoming installment, titled "When Christmas was Christmas," were just released recently and showed Sax and the imaginary horse Happy entering a strip joint. "What is this place, Nick?" the flying blue horse asks the disheveled Sax.

Inside the shady establishment, there are scantily-clad waitresses who accommodate the customers. The unlikely duo finds themselves seated in a corner talking to an elderly dancer. "The guy you are looking for is a monster," she says to them. Apparently, they are trying to find Hailey Hansen (Bryce Lorenzo) whose imaginary friend is Happy. She was kidnapped by Very Bad Santa (Joseph D. Reitman) at a Christmas show.

The nefarious kidnapper apparently likes to kidnap little kids and place them in boxes. It is hinted that he has other victims trapped in boxes in his hideout. Sax is busy trying to ask more questions about the kidnapper, but Happy appears to be having fun on the stage of the club. "Never speak of this again," Sax says to himself as he tries to control the restless horse. It remains to be seen if they will be able to get clues as to the whereabouts of the deranged kidnapper.

In the last episode, Sax went to a high-stakes poker game to win some cash and guns. He was losing at first but found out later that Happy could help him win by telling the other players' cards. Being invisible, Happy was able to reveal the cards unnoticed. Sax won a few rounds of money to the disbelief of the players.

"Happy!" season 1 episode 3 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 10 p.m. EST on the Syfy channel.
