'GTA 5' DLC release date news 2016: Biker update set for release this month?

The long-awaited Biker downloadable content (DLC) for "Grand Theft Auto 5" will reportedly be released this month, according to a new report.

According to "GTA" tipster Yan2295, the DLC was supposed to be released last month, Aug. 23 to be exact, but the content was marred with issues.

"The Biker update was scheduled for August, as I mentioned earlier. But they're having issues with it, so it's not coming out before a while," the tipster wrote.

Now, the belief is that the "GTA 5" Biker DLC will see the light of day on Sept. 20. This piece of information comes from a thread on the game's forum.

A user who iDigital Times says started the speculation thread about the expansion pack, revealed that the Biker DLC will be released on the said date.

He added that "lockdown" was scheduled Aug. 30 with submission date falls on Sept. 13. He also said that developer Rockstar Games should make the official announcement about the "GTA 5" DLC any day now.

Of course, there's no confirmation about that yet coming from Rockstar itself. The speculations began when references to an unannounced Biker DLC were found in the game files on the Cunning Stunts DLC released in July.

It was believed that the new content will be added shortly since it was already tucked in the said DLC's game files. However, a month has passed but Rockstar hasn't said a thing about the rumored DLC.

Either way, it looks like the Biker DLC is in the offing. The expansion pack is believed to offer motorcycle-related missions, properties and items.

There were references to "joust" and "initiation," which suggests that Rockstar will give motorcycle riding a twist in the Biker DLC.

However, for the time being, fans will have to wait a few more weeks to see if all this will materialize on Sept. 20.
