The highly anticipated brand new downloadable content (DLC) expansion pack for the online component of Rockstar's hit open world action-adventure video game "Grand Theft Auto Online" is finally here. The brand new Bikers DLC update has been rumored to be coming since July, thanks to several strings of code that were found in the game.
While the DLC update itself will contain some expected add-ons such as new clothes and vehicles, and there are apparently some surprises that might make revisiting Los Santos and Blaine County well worth it.
As was mentioned in countless reports prior to the launch of the update, the DLC will be centered around the popular bike culture and biker gangs. Players will be able to join or start their own biker club which can consist of up to 8 players. Starting a club requires a player to purchase a clubhouse from a new in-game website. This will set back a player anywhere from $200,000 to $500,000, which means that joining an already established club would be the cheaper option.
For the game's new vehicles and items, players can now modify their character with new tattoos, biker clothing, helmets, and other style elements to have that "biker" look. Players can then pay a visit to special custom biker mechanics to get their steeds. The update itself contains 15 new vehicles. A bike can cost players somewhere around $100,000, which can go even higher depending on the mods and upgrades fitted to it.
Another big change that is included in the update is the ability to perform melee attacks while riding a bike. Players can use a variety of weapons while on board their bikes, which is useful for sneak attacks that require a quick escape right after.
The update is reportedly meant to be played with friends and groups as it is centered around building a lucrative Motorcycle Club, which can involve itself in numerous illicit markets and illegal investments to further increase its reputation.
The "Grand Theft Auto Online" Bikers DLC is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and for the PC.
