Gordon Ramsay, owner of 16 Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide, has recently admitted he avoided speed cameras through a handy kitchen item.

Ramsay revealed that he races his supercar, which is a Ferrari California T, by wrapping the plate number with clingfilm. According to Ramsay's talk with The Mirror, the transparent plastic wrap can reflect light, allowing his supercar to pass through speed cameras unidentified.

The celebrity chef said he has done this in Los Angeles' highways, where his famous "Hell's Kitchen" restaurant is located. According to the chef, his Ferrari can reach up to 200 mph, while the freeways in Los Angeles only has a limit of 65 mph. The fiery chef also noted that he reaches the said speed by taking out his car at 2:30 am in the morning. Ramsay noted that he does this at midnight because he's "too embarrassed" to bring his supercar to work in the "Hell's Kitchen" restaurant.

"I'll take it out at 2.30 in the morning on the freeway and I'll blast on the motorway and no police catch me and no cameras because I wrap my number plates with clingfilm," Ramsay told The Mirror. Ramsay jokingly urged chefs to try out his naughty hack, saying that it is a cheap way to speed without getting pulled over by the police.

"It won't photograph, it reflects. Brilliant! It's a great tip. So get rolls of cling film when you get your Ferrari and wrap the front so you won't get caught speeding," Ramsay said.

In the same interview, the multi-millionaire chef said that he is not a wealthy show off. Ramsay said that the reason why he is still known for being straightforward is because he still remembers where he came from, which is a poor family in the rural areas of Scotland.

Ramsay reportedly has eight more Ferraris which are all in the United Kingdom, with the California T being his only Ferrari in his home in Los Angeles, which is right next to other celebrities such as Kanye West and Stevie Wonder.
