GodTube makes a comeback under its own name

Godtube.com, the world's most popular Christian video-sharing website, has been resurrected on the Internet.

GodTube is re-emerging as a Christian powerhouse for the online community to experience and engage in the best-of-the-best in videos focused on the Christian marketplace.

GodTube's initial launch in 2007 skyrocketed this Christian video-sharing site, with an eventual average of 2.7 million users each month.

In an effort to widen the reach of the GodTube audience and to better serve its thriving user base, www.tangle.com was launched in 2009, redirecting the GodTube users to the new platform.

Tangle is the world's largest social networking platform for the faith-based and family-friendly marketplace. After the successful launch of Tangle, GodTube is now back by popular demand under its own moniker.

According to a media release from A Larry Ross Communications, in just a few weeks since its return to the Web and through word-of-mouth promotion, GodTube has realised more than 400,000 unique visitors, indicating the viral community's excitement.

"After three years of building online media communities for the Christian marketplace, we have learned how to measurably identify ways to better serve our target audience and continue to expand our growth into the Christian community," said Trey Bowles, CEO of Big Jump Media, parent company of both Tangle and GodTube.

"There is a great amount of brand loyalty to GodTube.com from the visitors to the site and we plan to grow the site offering and continue to provide a place online for Christians to come find, view and share encouraging and inspirational content across the Internet."

GodTube's site provides top videos, all of which have been monitored for content appropriate for the faith-based audience, segregated into seven categories for easy browsing: Christian, comedy, cute, inspiration, music, news and sports.

Users have the ability to navigate between GodTube.com and tangle.com, sharing an environment that unites the body of Christ online. Favourite online videos can be found on GodTube such as: Lifehouse Drama, Baby Got Book, Little Girl and Psalm 23 and Tim Hawkins Scary Bedtime Prayer.

Plans are already in motion to provide additional content and access to GodTube, including the ability for users to upload content, a content flagging system where users can help ensure a safe environment for the entire community, and the ability to create an account on GodTube through Facebook.

"We recognised the unfiltered and unmonitored content available on other sites and we wanted to provide an atmosphere where families can feel safer about their viewing choices," Bowles said.

"We will continue to focus on providing tools and distribution opportunities that will unite the body of Christ online through both the largest Christian social networking platform in the world, tangle.com, and the world's most popular Christian video sharing site, GodTube.com."
