'General Hospital' spoilers, plot news: Drew's mission to recover his memories puts himself at risk

Almost nothing can be acquired without a price, and this is certainly the case for Drew (Billy Miller). "General Hospital" spoilers indicate that in an attempt to regain his old memories, Drew might end up having to pay a terrible price.

Drew will continue to be frustrated about why he does not have any recollection of his past life before arriving in Port Charles. Jason (Steve Burton) had a good point in the previous episodes, saying that the memory mapping study would not be able to turn Drew into a duplicate of Jason. Although Drew has Jason's memories, his personality is much different. He also makes choices that are not exactly similar to Jason's perspective.

This might mean that Drew is still in there, the real Drew, that is. It is apparent that the memory imprinting on him was successful, but the erasing of memories was not. There is still a chance for Drew to remember everything as himself and not as Jason. This will result in him making a decision that could have some serious consequences. He will decide to go on a mission, perhaps to trigger a memory or two.

One hint that Drew is still in there was the way he looked at Kim (Tamara Braun), so that can be something he can work with. Drew can try a lot of methods in order to get his memories back. He could give hypnosis a shot, especially when done by a professional. He might even be able to recall some facts about himself. Then again, he could also head to San Diego, and maybe Kim could tag along with him. The two of them can retrace his steps and this could even pave the way for a romance.

But, it is possible that Drew will continue to be unsuccessful. He will likely have to resort to a more scientific way of going about it. Knowing that most of his memories as Drew were wiped from his head, a memory restoration tactic could help. Of course, there is no perfect plan, and if Drew goes about this carelessly, this could only end up messing with his head.

"General Hospital" airs Mondays to Fridays, 2 p.m. EST on ABC.
