In the next episode of "Fresh Off the Boat," Louis Huang (Randall Park) is eager to expand his social circle with Matthew's (Matt Oberg) elite friends.

The synopsis and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "Liar Liar," were just recently released, and they show Louis hanging out with Matt at the family restaurant. Apparently, he wants to widen his circle of friends, starting with his boss's colleagues.

Louis and Matt have some drinks at the bar and appear to be having a good time. Soon, a friend of Matt drops by and greets them. Louis is eager to know the new person and tries to make a good impression. They all give a toast to new friendships. Matt seems to be alright with welcoming him to his own group of friends.

However, Louis's wife Jessica (Constance Wu) does not think that Louis has what it takes to hang out with his boss's colleagues. She thinks that he is over-extending himself and not being truly who he is. At times, he may even be a bit too generous and let others have their way with him. Louis thinks otherwise and will try to prove to Jessica that he can hang with the "big boys" and be his own person. It remains to be seen how far Louis will go with his new social mission.

In the last episode, Jessica accompanied Honey (Chelsey Crisp) to a pregnancy seminar in a show of support. Honey wanted her also to defend her pregnancy decisions in front of her mom, who was against them. In the end, Jessica sided with her mom because she had more common sense and said that they only wanted to look out for Honey.

"Fresh Off the Boat" season 4 episode 12 will air on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 8:30 p.m. EST on ABC.
