Eleanor, the much-coveted Ford Mustang featured in "Gone in 60 Seconds," is now available to purchase for $189,000.

Fusion Motor Company (FMC) is the exclusive manufacturer of the Eleanor pony car. The company's president, Yoel Wazana, was awarded the official license after being introduced to Denise Halicki — the widow of H.B. "Toby" Halicki, who starred, directed and produced the original 1974 "Gone in 60 Seconds" film.

Each recreation of Eleanor starts with an original 1967 or 1968 Mustang Fastback that is stripped to the core and rebuilt with a new frame. Modifications are installed in order to transform the vehicle into the iconic pony car.

Custom parts include an independent front suspension with an aluminum sub-frame, tubular control arms and coil over shocks; a multi-link rear suspension with coil springs, a Ford 9-inch axle and Wilwood disc brakes with 6-piston calipers in black or red; and carbon fiber for the hood, trunk, spoilers and splitters.

The base Eleanor recreation is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 430 horsepower. The powertrain is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. A six-speed manual transmission is also available for $4,500 while an automatic gearbox is currently in consideration.

FMC is also offering other engine options and configurations that deliver 480, 560 and 600 horsepower. Customers can also add a Roush supercharger that boosts performance to 750 horsepower. It can be injected with nitrous oxide from a tank in the trunk which is connected to the "Go Baby Go" gearshift button. However, this feature will require an additional $19,500.

Standard interior features include low back bucket seats, air conditioning, a tilt steering column, power locks and an HD audio system with Bluetooth connectivity.

The FMC-built Eleanor models come with a Pepper Gray exterior paint with black stripes — just like the movie. However, customers can opt for other colors such as red, white, blue and matte black.

Since the models are handcrafted and custom-made, customers should expect a six-month built time.
