For 'Miracles From Heaven' star Jennifer Garner, the little joys we experience in life are already miracles from God

Everybody has his or her own perception of what a miracle truly is. The faith-based film "Miracles From Heaven," which hit theatres last Wednesday, March 16, is one such movie that will inspire people to reflect on their personal miracles.

For lead star Jennifer Garner, who plays Christian mother Christy Beam, miracles are the little joys that people experience in life. "So, somebody that you don't get along with becoming one of your closest friends, a sunrise, a baby being born, a perfect avocado, they're all miracles!" Garner told The Christian Post.

"I'm so in line with the way this movie talks about miracles, that miracles happen every day, they happen all around your life and if you don't appreciate the little ones then you're just letting miracles go by," she added.

"Miracles From Heaven" follows the story of 12-year-old Annabel Beam, who had a near-death experience after being knocked out by a hollow tree. She went to heaven, then woke up completely healed from her pseudo-obstruction motility disorder. Annabel had suffered from the disorder for several years and had to rely on feeding tubes for nutrition.

The young girl credits her miraculous recovery to God. "A miracle is something that only God can do. A miracle is something that no man can do and can only be produced by God," the young girl said.

Her younger sister Adelyn added, "A miracle is something that can change someone's life. It can happen to anyone and sometimes little [and] small things are miracles."

Meanwhile, Bishop T.D. Jakes, who served as a producer of the film, said miracles are simply gifts from God. "I think a miracle is an occurrence for which we can take no human credit for," Jakes said. "In its simplest form it is the things in our lives that benefit us and are somehow yet beyond us."
