In commemoration of "Final Fantasy XV's" first-year release, Square Enix announced on the latest Active Time Report that at least three additional downloadable content episodes for the game will be released in the course of 2018. "Episode Ardyn" is confirmed to be one of them.

Ardyn is one of the main antagonists in "Final Fantasy XV," and since its release, fans of the game have been clamoring for more information about the character. In the upcoming DLC, players would be able to explore more into Ardyn's character and figure out his motivations for his actions in the game's story.

No other information about the other two DLC episodes have been released by the production teams, but chances are one of them would be about Luna, as her character's expansion has also gotten a significant number of requests by fans.

Speaking about the additional "Final Fantasy XV" content, Hajime Tabata said: "We are not saying that we are going to simply pull out additional fixed DLC, we are planning to do things that are deeply involved in the core story of the game. We want to do something... where it gives the player a meaningful reason to play it again, or something like that."

"In regards to the amount of content, looking at the current development, we are looking at around the amount of 4 DLC packs worth of content at maximum. As a AAA title, I think this is the limit. With this, we are going over on what we should deliver."

In other news, the fourth expansion for "Final Fantasy XV" will be released on Nov. 15. Initially, the update was supposed to go live on Oct. 31, but Square Enix decided to release it at a later date to perform final performance checks and other few tweaks.

The expansion will focus on custom character creation, and players will be able to equip them with new and existing powers. Lots of choices and content will be given to players to create their own characters, although the expansion is leaning on party combat.

"Final Fantasy XV" is currently out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version of the game will be released next year.
