There will be more downloadable content coming to "Final Fantasy 15" besides the six expansion packs included in the Season Pass of the game. This is what director Hajime Tabata revealed in an interview with Famitsu.
"That's not everything," he said, as quoted by Gematsu. "Those are what we've announced, something we've decided that we'll certainly do," he went on to say.
Tabata also teased costume and cooking repertoire add-ons for the game and spoke about the possibility of fans paying extra for the "Final Fantasy 15" DLC not to be included in the Season Pass.
"If we decide to make downloadable content outside of the Season Pass we're currently selling, then that will be the case. Although there's a lot right now that isn't clear," the game director explained.
However, Tabata clarified that the focus for now is on polishing the "Final Fantasy 15" base game itself before setting their sights on expanding it through DLCs as well as Virtual Reality or VR content.
In addition to that, he said that the Episode Prompto shown at the PlayStation VR demo at the Electronic Entertainment Expo won't have the same content as the actual add-on to be added in "Final Fantasy 15."
Meanwhile, Tabata also teased what to expect in the story and structure of the game. He said that it is a mix of continuous open world parts and "story-driven" linear parts, the former to make up the first half while the latter will take over the latter half.
"By doing this, the entire game is tightened so that the open world doesn't get tiring, and so that you can also get a taste of traditional Final Fantasy progression," Tabata explained.
"If we assume you'll play only the main routes of the first and second halves, it'll take about 40 to 50 hours," the "Final Fantasy 15" helmer went on to say.
"Final Fantasy 15" will be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Nov. 29.
