"Final Fantasy 15" details remains as elusive as they were back when the game was made official. Square Enix is not very keen on spilling the beans on its much-awaited action role-playing video game and only resorts to dropping crumbs of info, which are not exactly the most clear-cut.

According to Gamingbolt, developer Square Enix is making great progress on the development of the game. The publication reports that the installment has reached its pre-beta phase and that it is already being run on the PC and PS4.

The PC build for "Final Fantasy 15" seems to be running just fine but the build on the PS4 still requires some work on the optimization and memory. After confirming that on the game's forums, programmer Satoshi Kitade made sure to emphasize that the game is nowhere near its final form.

However, the game should at least be ready for a showing at the Active Time Report broadcast next year. According to Crossmap, Square Enix has promised that the January broadcast will be all about the highly anticipated game.

There will be new battle footage, an exclusive new look at the Niflheim Empire and other bits fans would love to know about "Final Fantasy 15." Hopefully, this Active Time Report will also be the stage for the announcement of the game's release date.

Meanwhile, Square Enix recently queried fans on which title they will prefer, the latest "Final Fantasy" iteration or "Persona 5," the role-playing video game Atlus is working on. The developer asked via Dual Shockers which of the titles they will be get if both games released around the same timeframe.

Notably, "Persona 5" is slated for a summer 2016 release. The survey had media outlets thinking that Square Enix may at least be considering releasing "Final Fantasy 15"around that time as well. Whether or not this will push through, fans will have to wait for the Active Time Report broadcast next month.
