"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 is going waterborne. With the zombies taking over the land, the residents found it best to escape to the seas. Thanks to resident rich man Victor Strand, who owns a luxury yacht, the survivors can take their chances in the waters.

Just recently, Colman Domingo, who plays Strand, was promoted as a series regular. This means that he will be around for a while. He will have to, apparently not because he owns the boat that contains a bulk of the people who want to stay alive, but because his backstory will allegedly be revealed.

Strand also owns the mansion where majority of the survivors including Travis and his family took refuge while the zombie outbreak clawed its way into the dying city. Interestingly, Cliff Curtis, who plays Travis, has hinted (via Melty) that his character "can't stand" Strand.

"To Travis, Strand is a mole — he's got no compass, no sense of good as far as Travis can see. He'd sell his mother! He's the guy who's not meant to be trusted," the actor said, teasing that this may be how getting on a boat can go wrong for the survivors in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2.

Rumor has it that zombies won't be the biggest threat at sea to Travis, Madison, Nick and Alison but their fellow humans themselves who want to survive and will do anything, even horrible things, just to endure. Strand may already know this is where the residents are headed and was rooting for such chaos to happen.

It will also be interesting to see how "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will bring into play zombies while the survivors have gone sailing. Robert Kirkman, the creator of the comics the show is based on, has already hinted how this could go down.

"There's definitely some zombie water action coming up. Just because it takes place on the boat doesn't mean they'll be on the boat all the time. It will be a seafaring adventure," Kirman said via IGN.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 airs sometime next year.
