Only two months left until the hack and slash video game "Dynasty Warriors 9" is set for a world premiere but still, Koei Tecmo is continuously releasing new character and gameplay trailers. On Dec. 26, a new batch of character trailers was released, focusing on the characters of the Wei Faction such as Cao Pi, Zhenji, Xun Yu, as well as Lu Lingqi and Lu Su.

Like the other character trailers, each short video depicts the characters in action and a short preview on what these characters are capable of in the upcoming game. The trailers are set in the beautiful setting of Ancient China, taking advantage of the new open-world environment of the game.

The game is the latest iteration of the Dynasty Warriors series, and already many players are looking forward to the release of the game because of the new open-world setting. The decision to make such a huge change to the game, according to the developers, was because of the feedback they mostly get from players that the game is too repetitive, so they wanted to bring something new in 2018.

Preceding the Dec. 26 release of the new character trailers was the introduction of five new characters, which was announced on Dec. 14. To those who don't know, joining the character roster would be Huang Zhong, Zhurong, Lu Su, Li Dan, and Meng Huo. Of course, Lu Su's character was elaborated in the latest trailers.

There would be a ton of changes in the actual game, and gameplay would be more elaborate than before. Koei Tecmo already said that although the actual story of the game is linear, some actions of the characters will dictate the battles they will have after. Also, players should also look forward to the new housing features and resource-gathering of the game.

"Dynasty Warriors 9" is set for a Feb. 8 release in Japan, and Feb. 13 in the West. The game will be available to play on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
