New screenshots from "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" preview some of the playable characters in the highly-anticipated fighting game sequel.

The screenshots obtained by Wccftech feature fighters like Gogeta, Android 16, Cell as well as Mr. Satan and Majin Buu. Some of the images show characters not only during battles, but also interacting.

Having to interact with players is one of the big upgrades for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." This is what producer Masayuki Hirano revealed to Crunchyroll.

"We also wanted to increase the communication and interaction between players so players can look forward to that," Hirano said during Gamescom.

The screenshots also showed a bit of the customization in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" when it comes to creating new characters in the game.

Meanwhile, Hirano also spoke about the possibility of releasing a "Dragon Ball Super" downloadable content or DLC in the future, seeing that fans want more of the Future Trunks saga injected in the game.

He said that the game was well in development before the anime introduced the arc so at the moment, Future Trunks and new villain Goku Black are the only ones confirmed for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." Extra content will follow, although nothing is set in stone yet.

"In terms of additional story and more content from 'Super,' we would like to look into these possibilities after the launch as well since we are getting a lot of voices from fans," Hirano said.

"They want more characters, they want more story. And it terms of whether it would be a spoiler for western players, we're not sure when these will be out so we'll have to see," he went on to say.

Fans are also excited about the idea of the newly introduced Super Saiyan Rose summoned by Goku Black in "Dragon Ball Super." It is unclear if this will be added in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" as a DLC.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be released Oct. 25.
