There are only a few universe competitors left in the ongoing Tournament of Power arc of "Dragon Ball Super." The previous episodes featured the Universe 7 fighters, led by Son Goku, defeating all the enemies trying to get the group eliminated from the game. In the upcoming 120th episode, the Z fighters will have to deal with Universe 3, and it appears that the new adversaries have a twisted surprise in store for Universe 7.
As reported by Comic Book, the "Dragon Ball Super" episode 120 synopsis suggests that the Universe 7 fighters will have a hard time defeating Universe 3, especially since the latter has prepared an ultimate killer attack to defeat the enemies. The upcoming episode, titled "Universe 3's fused attack! Menace of the merged warrior!," confirms the events teased in the latest preview.
"After triumphing in their fierce battle against Universe 4, Goku and co. are now attacked by a new enemy, Universe 3! Gohan takes on the enemy after they merge together and gain astonishing battle power, but...?!" the episode 120 synopsis states. It is expected that another fusion technique will be used against the Universe 7 fighters, but the resulting warrior might be more powerful than anyone would expect. It will be Gohan's turn to take down the enemies who are trying to get his team out of the competition. Based on the spoilers, Gohan will be able to get the upper hand in spite of the enemy's doubled strength.
Other reports show that aside from Gohan, the Universe 3 fighters will also target Goku, as they believe that he is the one to beat in the entire tournament. To recall, Goku has overpowered a lot of fighters from different teams, resulting in their respective universe's elimination. Their plan is to perform a powerful fusion to create the ultimate warrior, and in the episodes to come, the Universe 7 fighters will need to withstand Universe 3's series of attacks.
Still, many fans speculate that Universe 3 will eventually be defeated by Goku, thus following the grim fate of Universe 2, 4, and 6 in the previous episodes. It is clear that the Tournament of Power is approaching its end, and the big question is who among the current teams will make it to the final two slots of the competition.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 120 will be released in Japan this Sunday, Dec. 17.
