Bungie has introduced a lot of new content for "Destiny 2," and the studio is not yet done in providing a cool gaming experience for the players. In partnership with Amazon, the game can now recognize spoken words by the players to an Alexa smart home device, which saves more time and effort.
As reported by Polygon, "Destiny 2" can now accept hands-free voice commands, made possible by the Amazon Alexa voice assistant. Alexa is no stranger in following voice commands, but its new feature will help "Destiny 2" players a lot. Specifically, the players can talk to their character's artificial intelligence (AI) in the game called Ghost with the help of Alexa.
By using an Alexa device, "Destiny 2" players can ask their Ghost to do a lot of things for them in-game, like giving a short background about the title's lore, sending messages to other players, and putting on their weapons and armors. Ghost can also notify the players if their online friends are up while they are playing, as well as telling them about their next objective in the game.
To give a voice command to the players' Ghost, they will have to begin their sentence first with phrases such as "Alexa, ask Ghost" and "Alexa, tell Ghost." Amazon reveals that Ghost can answer many questions related to "Destiny 2," even those that involve the game's story. Players can ask things about the Red Legion. If they have no idea what to do after a mission, they can ask for Ghost's recommendations for new activities.
The "Destiny 2" Ghost has more than 1,000 custom lines, which are all voiced by Nolan North. According to Mashable, players will find this new Alexa skill very helpful, as they can save up to four loading sequences for their character depending on the activities that they are doing, including Crucible, Strike, Nightfall, and Trials of the Nine. Alexa can also tell Ghost to equip the characters while travelling in orbit or in a social space.
Aside from the AI assistant, Amazon is also offering a physical version of Ghost compatible with any Alexa smart devices. The Ghost speaker will be available for $90 starting on December 19th.
