On Nov. 1, Bungie has finally given extensive details about its first major downloadable content (DLC) expansion to "Destiny 2." Called "Curse of Osiris," major details were revealed in the first livestream held by game developer Bungie on its official Twitch channel.
The first "Curse of Osiris" livestream was titled "New Stories to Tell." According to Bungie, it is all about "the places you'll go, the characters you'll meet, and the enemies you'll fight." Tons of new information which includes latest features, raiding content, fresh details about Mercury, and the DLC's main plot were revealed in the livestream – making fans more eager to get their hands on the expansion.
The livestream answered a lot of questions asked during the release of the "Curse of Osiris" trailer shown in the Paris Games Week 2017, which showed a lot of gameplay footage. According to the livestream, Mercury will be the first new playable zone in "Destiny 2," and the campaign will take place a few months after the end of "Destiny 2's" initial storyline.
Some of the most important things to note in the first "Curse of Osiris" livestream is that the power cap will rise from 300 to 330, while the experience cap will be a bit lower from 25 to 20. The Lighthouse will also be the new social hub and the home of Brother Vance in the game, and it was revealed that Mercury will host the largest Public Event to be released on the game, although details are yet to be revealed closer to the launch.
Additionally, the new raid content called "Leviathan, Eater of Worlds" will feature a new Prestige mode, and will commence in the Underbelly section of Calus' ship. It is also said to be more difficult than the vanilla raid experience, and a minimum power level of 300 is recommended for Eater of Worlds.
There will still be two more "Curse of Orisis" livestreams to take place before the expansion's release. The second one, called "New Ways to Play," will take place on Nov. 21. Meanwhile, the third livestream will be on Nov. 29 and will be called "New Gear to Earn."
"Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris" will be released on Dec. 5 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
