December update for 'Assassin's Creed Origins' is going to be epic

A new update for "Assassin's Creed Origins" is hitting this month, with lots of cool new content headed for the game.

"Many of you listened to the whispers on the wind about two Egyptian gods. You didn't hesitate to face and beat them but that was just the beginning. New challenges await in December," read Ubisoft's announcement. Although there's no actual date when the update is going to be released, players can be rest assured that it's coming before 2017 ends.

First, a new mode is going to be introduced in the game. Titled "Nightmare mode," it's an increased level of difficulty where the enemies are going to be more resilient and harder to kill. Also, Ubisoft heeded a popular request by players. "Enemy Scaling" will be available in the update, where low-level enemies across Egypt will increase their levels to match players.

Two new quests will also be added to the game. The first one, titled "Here Comes the Challenger," will let players experience another new mode called "Horde Mode," where endless waves of enemies will try to rip the players apart in the Cyrene Area. Since it's going to be exceptionally difficult, only players with the level 32 or higher are encouraged to participate.

Meanwhile, the second quest is still kept secret by the developers. However, a gif showing Chocobo's rear end was teased, meaning the quest might be related to the previously announced collaboration between Square Enix and Ubisoft.

Ubisoft is also giving a chance to some players who have not encountered the gods Anubis and Sobek yet. But there's more. Aside from Anubis and Sobek, the fierce goddess warrior goddess Sekhmet will also be making an appearance as well, so players can finally have the chance to defeat all three gods.

In-game store updates will also be included. On Dec. 12, the Gladiator Pack will become available, while the Wacky Pack will come soon on Dec. 26.

"Assassin's Creed Origins" is already available on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
