Everyone knows several characters are back, which means some questions that long-time watchers may have will be getting some answers soon. "Days of Our Lives" spoilers reveal why Sami (Alison Sweeney) was in Europe.

It turns out that before coming back to Salem in the midst of the mystery surrounding her son Will (Chandler Massey), Sami was searching for something or someone else. It is revealed that Sami was in Europe looking for EJ (then played by James Scott). EJ was known to be killed by a bodyguard hired by Clyde (James Read).

Of course, fans know that when EJ's body was placed in the morgue, Kristen (Eileen Davidson) injected a mysterious green substance into his body. While that remains to be unknown, it will definitely be brought up down the line. After EJ's death, Sami then received a letter from him. EJ wrote that Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) was the one behind it. This led her to believe that EJ was still alive somewhere.

With Will and EJ supposedly alive, is there a connection? Possibly. Knowing that Stefano is also supposedly alive and Dr. Rolf (William Utay) coming back, there should be a connection. Dr. Rolf was involved in some crazy things and bringing the dead back to life is something he does best.

Spoilers indicate that the DiMera patriarch and Dr. Rolf have their reasons to bring EJ back. However, it does pose a question as to why they would bring Will back. They must have a reason to involve her son in this. It can also be noted how John's (Drake Hogestyn) resurrection supposedly did something to him, there has to be a test subject or a guinea pig that Dr. Rolf practiced his technique on. Will might just be that guinea pig.

Should that be true, then Will might not be the same man everyone knew when he resurfaces.

Speaking of Dr. Rolf, "Days of Our Lives" spoilers for this week reveal that two more people are coming in to help solve this Will Horton mystery. As everyone can recall, Dr. Rolf was the one who revealed to Clyde that Will was still alive. A revelation from him surely changes things and opinions. Knowing that Dr. Rolf worked very closely with Stefano, Sonny (Freddie Smith) will turn to the remaining DiMera family members for help.

Andre (Thaao Penghlis) and Chad (Billy Flynn) will help out with whatever they can, possibly to look for Dr. Rolf themselves. If there was anyone who might be able to know and get to Dr. Rolf, it would probably be them too.

"Days of Our Lives" airs Mondays to Fridays at 12 p.m. EDT on NBC.
