'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: JJ prepares to commit suicide

Although most Salem citizens are taking part in Christmas celebrations, there is one person who is feeling anything but festive. "Days of Our Lives" spoilers for this week reveal that JJ (Casey Moss) will prepare to take his life.

To say that JJ is down in the dumps is an understatement. JJ feels like he has hit rock bottom and there is no way of getting out. He is consumed by his guilt for shooting Theo (Kyler Pettis), and to make matters worse, he might never wake up from his coma. JJ can still hear the shots he fired that night, and that very night is all he can think about. JJ feels incredibly guilty and this will only drive him over the edge this week.

JJ will give away his valuable possessions and he will also write letters to his loved ones. He will want to get everything off his chest as he prepares to take his life. Despite Eric's (Greg Vaughan) advice and encouragement that he will be able to pull through, JJ just will not see how to do it if Theo never wakes up. His actions will also spark some suspicion among his loved ones, especially Jennifer (Melissa Reeves). She will be incredibly worried about her son's mental state when they talk on the phone. When JJ hangs up, he will load his gun and prepare to shoot himself.

But, this is when an unlikely visitor will appear. Just when JJ is about to kill himself, Jack (Matthew Ashford) will appear and convince his son that he should not go through with it. Killing himself is not going to make Theo wake up, after all. Gabi (Camila Banus) will also pitch in to help JJ move forward with his life.

"Days of Our Lives" airs Mondays to Fridays, 1 p.m. EST on NBC.
