Maddie Ziegler's presence will be greatly felt in episode 9 of "Dance Moms" season 6. The Abby Lee Dance Crew recently took part in the Fierce competition in California, where Abby Miller's so-called star student paired up with Brynn Rumfallo for an explosive performance.

The duo pulled off a lyrical routine for "Together as One" that landed them at the top spot for both the junior division and overall. Maddie also participated in a group dance, which again snagged the team the first place award for the aforementioned categories.

Ziegler, together with her little sister Mackenzie, Rumfallo, Nia Frazer, Kendall Vertes and JoJo Siwa delivered a killer group performance to the tune of "Bittersweet Charity." This winning rendition, which will be shown in episode 9 of "Dance Moms," also earned them the Most Entertainment Number award.

Vertes and Frazer also won first place in the teen division and second place overall for their contemporary dance number "Grifters." Kalani Hilliker was on the scene but she apparently sat through the entire competition.

Meanwhile, a sneak peek of "Dance Moms" season 6 was recently released by Lifetime. Here, Miller takes pride in her talented dance crew. "The world thinks that I struck old with this group," she can be heard saying. "I disagree," she adds.

Miller also speaks about how the young dancers can go a long way, as clips of the Abby Lee Dance Crew doing their magic on stage were shown. "It's time to get a little hungrier for that win," Miller says as she motivated the group during rehearsal.

These moments make up the first 30 seconds of the "Dance Moms" season 6 promo. The rest of the one-and-a-half-minute long preview is packed with bickering moms, ear-splitting screams, threats involving a punch in the face and finally, Miller in a fit of rage.

"Dance Moms" season 6 will also deal with the dance instructor's legal battles involving fraud accusations when it premieres on Jan. 5 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
