'Condemned 3' sequel might be released if indie developers take the lead

Jace Hall, the former head of Monolith Productions (the game developer responsible for creating "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor"), posted something thoroughly interesting on his Facebook page. It appears that he is currently looking for an independent developing studio to create the next installment in the "Condemned" franchise, following the horror classics "Condemned: Criminal Origins" (2005) and its sequel "Condemned 2: Bloodshot" (2008).

Hall currently owns the rights of the franchise but due to other commitments, he and his team are not able to find sufficient time to start the development project, which is precisely why he is currently looking for an indie developer.

Hall posted: "I want to give every interested indie studio out there a real opportunity of consideration. I'm looking for passion, creativity, drive, discipline, and determination. I am interested in receiving proposals and ideas. Please send them to me. I think there is a significant opportunity to move the genre forward with this franchise."

When asked whether or not he had approached someone to spearhead the project, he responded:

"I have not approached anyone. I have received some inquiries over the last 24 hours. Ultimately I tell them to just send me a proposal for consideration. I place no limiting parameters on the proposal. My desire is to fully empower an indie developer with all the decision making authority."

Staying true to the survival horror genre, "Condemned: Criminal Origins" and its sequel place more emphasis on hand-to-hand combat, meaning that while ammunition and guns are available, the amount is thoroughly scarce, forcing the player to conserve resources in order to utilize them as a last resort.

Currently, Hall does not believe that the sequel will be called "Condemned 3," but regardless, he wants the best developer in terms of commitment and skill to proceed with the project.
