"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" fans are looking forward to the next episode of the Japanese animated television series that follows the story of Naruto's son. Spoilers for episodes 40 to 43 are already out, and they tease on the first mission of Boruto and his friends.
Recently, fans were given a backstory about the origin of Mitsuki. Aside from that, the Sage Mode of Mitsuki, which is as strong as other Sage modes, was also featured. It was also revealed that Mitsuki has the ability to use Sage Transformation.
For episode 40, it is titled "Team 7: First Mission," which refers to the team of Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada with Konohamaru. They will be given their first mission to repel bandits from a certain village. They need to make sure that the bandits will no longer return to disturb the villagers. In this episode, Boruto and his friends will meet Kiri, the daughter of the Village head. Since Kiri's father already passed away, she will take over his position. This means that the team will be working with her.
However, things change in episode 41, titled "The Power of Unity," when Kiri will be kidnapped. The team will discover that they are not dealing with ordinary bandits, but they are actually ninjas. Because of that, their mission will shift from repelling the bandits to saving Kiri. Reports also indicate that Konohamaru will display his abilities in this episode.
Episode 42, titled "The Work of Shinobi," is a filler episode wherein Boruto will complain that the missions given to them are too easy. He wants more action and more thrilling missions. This is one trait Boruto and his father Naruto have in common. With that, Team 7 will be tasked to capture a criminal who is holding up the bank. Boruto will be excited, but he will, later on, find out that the criminal is an ordinary man without powers.
Meanwhile, episode 43, titled "The Appearance of White Night Band," will feature a group of thieves called The White Night Band who will be suspected as the ones responsible for some activities in Konohagakure. They consider themselves as righteous since they steal from the rich and distribute it to the poor. But Boruto will think that what they are doing is not legit.
Boruto will ask his friend Shikadai Nara for his opinion about it. Shikadai will tell Boruto that things like this cannot be considered good or bad. With that, fans are anticipating on what Boruto will do about it. Episode 43 is another filler episode.
