'Blue Bloods' season 7 spoilers: Is it jail time for Danny?

Danny will be in big trouble come "Blue Bloods" season 7. CBS

Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) will be in big trouble in "Blue Bloods" season 7 with an individual willing to go the lengths to dig some dirt up about the detective.

Although Danny kept his family safe from serial killer Thomas Wilder (Louis Cancelmi), he himself is not out of harm's way, not with a new lawyer on the block keen on putting him behind bars.

Fans will remember that in order to save his niece Nicky (Sami Gayle) from the murderer, Danny opened fire on Wilder and ultimately killed him, something that Michael Imperioli's new "Blue Bloods" season 7 character Michael Lewis will be looking into.

The "hard-charging lawyer," as he was described, will lead an investigation surrounding Wilder's death in "Blue Bloods" season 7, with Danny at the top of his priorities.

While Danny shot Wilder out of self defense, it sounds like Miller wants to make it seem that the family man is no different than the killer he offed.

That being said, it looks like Miller will do everything to put Danny in trouble. As to what his motivation is, "Blue Bloods" season 7 should shed a light on that.

Meanwhile, the production for "Blue Bloods" season 7 continues. Wahlberg has been updating fans on social media and even shared behind-the-scenes photos and clips from the set.

He also thanked fans for their support for the series after a surge in the number of his Twitter followers. "Power of my fans! You think we make seven seasons without em?!?!" he tweeted.

Meanwhile, CBS also teased a new storyline for "Blue Bloods" season 7.

"Jamie and Eddie respond to a car crash involving a drunk driver who is a public figure, and Frank is asked by Grace Edwards (guest star Lori Loughlin), the wife of a slain police officer, to keep her only son out of the police force."

"Blue Bloods" season 7 premieres Friday, Sept. 23 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
