Trickjump Games recently released "Battle trainer Royale," a game specifically designed so that players can practice their shooting skills against bots. Most importantly, the game aims to be a training ground fro those new to the popular shooter "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" ("PUBG").
"PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" has become a widely popular game and it spawned a new genre of first-person shooter: the battle royale. What the game lacks is a proper training mode with artificial intelligence (AI) as opponents. This is what "Battle Royale Trainer" aims to provide.
A fully-equipped AI training ground is a necessity for games like "PUBG." For one thing, the nature of its gameplay does not really give newbies a chance to hone their skills.
Frequent firefights are not to be expected, except if one purposely enters a heavily-populated area upon drop. Even then, the fights would be carried out using early-game guns, weapons which can be considered pointless to practice with.
Meanwhile, it can be also frustrating for players who scavenge for more than 30 minutes to find the right tools, only to get a well-placed headshot to end to their gaming session.
"Battle Royale Trainer" promises to create an environment where players can hone their skills with snap-shooting, control recoil and head-shot— all without the time investment in a full "PUBG" game.
Players can customize the AI and they can also choose weapons to practice in.
Developer Trickjump Games is not explicit about the "PUBG" inspiration, but it is obvious that the training game is modeled after the popular battle royale first-person shooter.
As of now, the reception about the game is mixed. Some praise the trainer for providing a feature that should have been included with "PUBG' in the first place. Others complained about bugs. One glaring flaw of "Battle Royale Trainer" is that it does not accurately duplicate the recoil mechanics of "PUBG."
