A lot has been happening in Gotham City since the release of the first two episodes of "Batman: The Telltale Series," and fans are now eager to finally know the consequences of Penguin's revelations and of Bruce's decisions to reclaim his family's tarnished name.
Fortunately, Telltale Games has now officially announced the release date of third episodes of the point and click adventure video game series titled "New World Order."
The game's developer has announced that the third episode in the series will first be released on the major platforms, namely the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC, on Oct. 25. The game will be available as a digital download during that date.
The company however, hasn't yet announced when it will be making the game available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Android OS, and iOS. Based on the release of the last two episodes, the other platforms should be getting the game a few weeks later, most likely in early November.
After the events of the first episode — titled "Realm of Shadows" — and the second episode — titled "Children of Arkham" — the entire city of Gotham is now in a state of uncertainty as the truth behind the past actions of Bruce Wayne's parents and their deaths were finally revealed to the public. Now that Bruce is in hiding, a new set of villains has risen and is hellbent on taking over the city.
The story line of the game is based on the comic book series created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, so it does not tie-in with any previous adaptation of the franchise. Being an all original story, the game itself possesses some very interesting alterations to the standard "Batman" timeline. The series is, of course, made more interesting by Telltale's signature branching narrative, with each of the player's decision affecting the future events that will be happening within the game.
