CW's "Arrow" season 6 will have an action-packed return from the winter hiatus this week, as Star City remains under the threat of Cayden James (Michael Emerson). The fans are expecting that Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) will find a way to stop the villain once and for all, but in episode 10, he will face more challenges as he will need to work with fewer team members. Although, a new ally for the Team Arrow will appear to help defeat Cayden.
The upcoming episode 10 of "Arrow" season 6, titled "Divided," will see Cayden proceeding with his plans to obliterate Star City. Many fans believe that Cayden is a one-of-a-kind villain in the CW series, as he relies mostly on his impressive hacking skills to raise hell in the city. Moreover, Cayden is more concerned about destryong Star City at all cost, while the previous antagonists have been known for their personal vendetta against Oliver. Of course, the hooded hero will not allow Cayden to cause any harm, leading him to investigate about the villain's dark secrets.
The episode 10 synopsis suggests that Oliver will eventually learn about Cayden's secrets, although it might be a little more shocking that what he is expecting. From this discovery, Oliver will be forced to make an unlikely alliance with a mysterious character. Following the events that tore Team Arrow apart, the viewers are looking forward to see Oliver getting a new ally in the huge battle against Cayden.
As of now, Oliver is confident that Team Arrow will survive even if half of its members are no longer trust-worthy. To note, Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) has gone rogue and turned against her allies to help Cayden in his quest to destroy Star City. Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) has been revealed to still have a connection with the Vigilante, while Oliver has learned that Rene (Rick Gonzalez) was spying on the group as his own way to save his daughter's life. Only Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (David Ramsey) remain loyal to the group, and Oliver hopes that their trio would be enough to stop Cayden and Black Siren.
Meanwhile, "Arrow" fans will have more reason to look forward to season 6 as Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) has been confirmed to return to Star City, Entertainment Weekly reported. Roy, also known as the Red Arrow, is set to make a comeback as his former teammates will need his help "to resolve an urgent matter." It is not known, however, if Roy's return has anything to do with Cayden's threat.
"Arrow" season 6 episode 10 will air on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 9 p.m. EST.
