Apple news: iOS 11 common bugs and fixes

iOS 11 is already in its 3 months of being released, and yet, tons of users are still noticing some flaws and bugs associated with Apple's biggest software update. The latest update, iOS 11.2.1, addressed some of the problems some users are experiencing with update iOS 11.2.

One of the most serious issues associated with iOS update 11.2 is the security flaw in Apple's HomeKit App. Some users reported that after the update, the HomeKit App became highly vulnerable, and hackers could easily gain access and control doors and other devices that are linked to the HomeKit app. Apple immediately fixed the problem with iOS 11.2.1.

Another problem associated with iOS 11.2 is the apparent malfunction of Wi-Fi calling to customers using the Sprint network. Apparently, the feature went down on all iPhone models updated to the iOs 11.2. The iOS 11.2.1 update did not have a bug fix for this one, so some users amended the situation by downgrading their iPhone from iOS 11.2 to iOS 11.1.2.

There is also the issue where users cannot really turn off the WiFi and Bluetooth via Control Center unless they manually disabled it in the Settings. It's not a bug, but a completely new design installed in the iOS 11. It's somewhat confusing since users trying to disconnect the WiFi or Bluetooth using the Control Center are just disconnected from the network, but the feature is still running.

And of course, there's the ever-present problem of excessive battery drain. Already, Apple is notoriously famous for its short battery life on its devices, but some say that the iOS 11.2 update made the problem worse.

Apple Support on Twitter was constantly ravished by angry tweets from netizens during the update, saying that their devices only last for 2-3 hours after the update despite not constantly using their phones and tablets. It's a pressing issue, but iOS 11.2.1 didn't necessarily state a fix about the said problem.
