Samsung users who own the company's previous generation and latest generation flagship smartphones — including the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy S6, and S6 Edge — are still waiting patiently for any new announcements regarding an Android 7.0 Nougat update for their respective phones. Unfortunately, the company hasn't really been that forthcoming when it comes to their software update schedules, which is why there are still no specifics on the new operating system version's release.

According to the latest reports, there may be some progress on that front as several listings have apparently shown up online which reveals that the company may be doing some sort of mass testing in Europe. A couple of listings were spotted in the Geekbench benchmarking database that shows both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge running the new Android operating system.

A report also reveals that Samsung Poland is internally testing the Android 7.0 Nougat software version G930FXXU1ZPI9 on the Galaxy S7 as well.

While the numerous listings that were spotted is a clear indication that Samsung is in fact already testing the new updated operating on their latest products, it might still be a while before they are publicly available. However, an early release of the update could do the company wonders in terms of their current public relations status as the company is still reeling from the whole Note 7 exploding battery controversy.

As of the moment, the first phones that could be receiving the new Android 7.0 Nougat update would be both the Galaxy S7 models.

The Galaxy Note 7, on the other hand, might not get the update right away as the company will still need to merge their custom UI and S-pen features into the new Android system. The rest of the Samsung smartphones should then receive the update shortly after.
