AMD and NVIDIA will once again be clashing in the highly-competitive high-end video card arena early next year as both companies are reportedly going to be releasing brand new products.

NVIDIA, for the most part, has been dominating the high-end market with their latest GTX 1080 and Titan X GPUs, but it seems like their reign may soon be over when AMD releases their powerful AMD Vega 11 line-up.

AMD has been continually dishing out low- to mid-end products over the past few months and they seem to have been doing quite well in that arena. However, the company may not have its sights on the high-end market and will attempt to topple down the Pascal-based products that NVIDIA has been offering.

According to the latest reports, AMD will likely be offering several new AMD Vega products sometime next year. The new VEGA 10 and 11 GPUs are meant to be the ultimate 4K gaming GPUs for next year. The GPUs will be coming fully equipped with AMD's High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) technology which could be faster that the GDDR5X technology that NVIDIA is using for their GTX 1080 and Titan video cards.

The Vega GPUs are also likely to have at least 4096 cores with a minimum of 128 compute units. Combine that with the company's HBM technology, and the product will likely be a formidable contender in the high-end GPU market.

To counteract the new products from AMD, several reports are also claiming that NVIDIA may be releasing their new GTX 20-series video cards as well. This might include an alleged new GTX 2080 video card that would be providing an even faster performance that AMD's latest products.

For now, NVIDIA's Titan and GTX 1080 video cards are set to receive a new addition in the form of an improved GTX 1080 Ti variant which is revealed to be as fast as the Titan but with a significantly lower selling price.
