Abby Lee Miller may go out of jail next month, shares slimmed-down photo on Instagram

Former "Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller was sent to prison in June 2016 after she pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud. Although her career took a hiatus, she is still feeling hopeful.

Recently, she shared a photo on Instagram showing her current condition in prison. While wearing her prison uniform, she posed in all smiles with her visitors. The photo shows that Miller has slimmed down because of her time in jail. Entertainment Tonight revealed that she has lost 100 lbs.

The post comes with a lengthy caption where she said that she made a mistake when she trusted the wrong people. She also said that she is more than sorry for the mistakes that she had made. Miller confessed that her world flipped upside down when she entered prison, but she still did it with grace.

The dance instructor also clarified that the press stories about her are not true. She said that she is not a princess in jail, adding that she had made friends with the inmates and staff.

"I've tried to better myself, participated in anything offered to me and I am a better person for this experience. I am feeling hopeful but no dates have been confirmed at this time," Miller said in the post.

According to Deadline, the "Dance Moms" star will be possibly be released earlier because of her good behavior. She will be released on Feb. 20, which means that she will be only serving less than half of her sentence. Once she is out from prison, she will check into a halfway house in Van Nuys, California.

Abby was found guilty of bankruptcy fraud in May for attempting to hide $775,000 of income from "Dance Moms" as well as from the show's spin-off, "Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition," and also from multiple other projects.

The Lifetime star was indicted on 20 counts of fraud in October 2015. She entered a guilty plea on June 27, 2016, and was served a 366-day term. Aside from her serving time in prison, Chief Judge Joy Flowers Conti also ordered the star to pay $40,000 fine. She will also have a two-year probation after her time in Victorville, California jail.
