Mercedes-Benz USA has announced that the 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon will have a starting price of $107,945.

According to the automaker, AMG models in the United States, which typically come standard with an all-wheel-drive system, attract a very exclusive customer base. The 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon, in particular, will be a special-order model for those who are looking for a high-performance five-door family hauler.

The AMG variant of Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain is mated to an AMG Speedshift MCT nine-speed automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels via the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system.

The 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour (mph) in 3.4 seconds and attains a top speed of 180 mph. With this level of performance, the five-door vehicle was able to set a record for the fastest station wagon to lap around Nürburgring Nordschleife. It clocked in an official time of 7:45:19 at one of the most challenging tracks ever built.

The AMG-badged station wagon comes with five dynamic drive modes: Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Race and Individual. Each setting adjusts the engine, transmission, suspension, steering, stability control and all-wheel-drive-system. Drivers can also select the "M" button for manual shifting mode via the steering wheel paddles.

Meanwhile, inside the cabin, there is an exclusive version 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with three display designs — Classic, Sport and Progressive. The interior is sporty but elegant with carbon fiber gauges, an AMG Performance steering wheel with black Nappa leather, AMG Performance seats with head restraints and Nappa leather trim for the dashboard and door beltlines. Several premium packages are also available to further equip the 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon with performance, comfort and safety equipment.
