'The Winds of Winter' release date as early as March 2016? What really happened to Jon Snow?

"Game of Thrones" season 5 is over and now fans of the show and of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels that spawned the HBO series are in the same boat: no one knows what happens next and no one knows if Jon Snow survives. It all rests on the release of the sixth book, "The Winds of Winter," which, fans guess, could be published by March 2016.

According to a report from iDigital Times, the next book might be released as early as March next year. This is based on author George R.R. Martin's desire to have the book out before season 6 of "Game of Thrones" airs on HBO. The show often premieres in late March to mid-April, with April being the most common premiere window, which means the book will presumably hit store shelves no later than mid-March 2016.

A report from the IBTimes also took into account that Martin has cancelled his other public appearances this year just to work on the book, but it noted that he is also busy writing several other novels, including "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," along with three different films and three different television shows, including "Captain Cosmos."

Martin's editor, Anne Groell, stated in a report from the Independent that she had tried convincing Martin to write "The Winds of Winter" while on the road but stated that the author is very stuck in his ways and intends on writing only when at home, on his personal computer.

Groell also explained that she isn't even sure how many books are left in the series. Martin stated for years that there would only be seven books, with "A Dream of Spring" being the last entry in the series, but this is not yet final. There are so many storylines that have yet to intersect and "The Winds of Winter" may even be split into two novels.

Of course, according to Martin, he would let his fans know if the book is ready.

Does the Church of England need to re-think its messaging?

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
