Amazing Spider-Man 3 movie plot rumors: Venom, Sinister Six, and Carnage to make appearance?

If speculations are true, then Spider-Man's hands will be full as he combats multiple villains in the third installment of "The Amazing Spider-Man" franchise.

One of the most talked about antagonist for "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" movie is Venom, known as the darker version of Spider-Man.

Movie Pilot released a statement from "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" writer Alex Kurtzman, who described Venom as a completely opposite character from Spider-Man.

"Venom, in a weird way, is a representation of every line that will get crossed," he said.  "He's a much darker character. I wouldn't even say he's more complicated, because I think they're both very complicated characters, but I think the attraction, for me, to Venom, is the idea that you can do things with Venom that you can't do with Spider-Man."

Another possible evil force that the web-slinger might cross in the third Spider-Man film is a group of villains called Sinister Six.  The group is comprised of some of Spidey's most vicious enemies, namely: Electro, Vulture, Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, and Sandman.  Although some fans have doubts about this plot (since out of the six, only Electro had been featured in the last film), several reports are saying that Sony is planning to create a stand-alone film featuring the villainous gang sometime soon.

And finally, Emma Stone's character Gwen Stacy might return in the series, but there's a twist.  This time, Gwen may become a Spider-Man nemesis instead of Peter Parker's love interest. Gwen died in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," but she could return to life without any memories of her past as Carnage. Though there are no confirmations about this plot yet, there are reports that actor Andrew Garfield wants to work with Stone, his real-life sweetheart, in the continuation of the series. However, Stone must make time away from her very hectic schedule for the filming if she will be back in the hit Marvel franchise.
