Love, more importantly Mary's (Adelaide Kane) search for it, will be a central theme in "Reign" season 4. In one of her romantic pursuits, a child will be born.

The new season of "Reign" will see the entrance of Mary's second and third husband. The latter's name is Lord Darnley, a nobleman with a blood-claim to the English throne. Will Kemp will bring life to the character in "Reign" season 4.

Lord Darnley will remind them of the late Francis (Toby Regbo), whose death Mary still mourns, because they both have "wildly ambitious" mothers, whose love is based on their sons' ability to secure the crown.

Of course, fans can expect this to affect Mary and Lord Darnley's relationship come "Reign"
season 4. But the nobleman's introduction entails so much more for the show.

As the history dictates, a child will be born out of Lord Darnley and Mary's love. Unfortunately, Kemp was murdered around the first year of him and Mary's marriage.

That being said, he won't see their child grow. Mary will once again be heartbroken, but she will do her best to move on. To help her is Bothwell (Adam Croasdell), who eventually becomes her third husband.

Bothwell is described as a "warm-hearted bad boy" who is head over heels in love for Mary. TV Line points out that underneath that charm is a secret.

In real life, he was accused of murdering someone close to Mary. There's no way of knowing for sure if this will be incorporated in "Reign" season 4.

Croasdell and Kemp will only be in three episodes, but they have the option to extend the gig.

"Reign" season 4 premieres sometime next year. The delay was reportedly necessitated so the show won't have to go head to head with the HBO juggernaut "Game of Thrones."
