'X-Men: Apocalypse' movie cast update: Rose Byrne to return

Rose Byrne who played Moira MacTaggert in 'First Class,' will be back and will reportedly take on a major role. Byrne is better known in 'X-Men: First Class' as the CIA agent who allied with the mutants. And now she will be taking on a bigger role which includes that of a developing relationship with Charles Xavier which will be played once more by James McAvoy. This was revealed by Simon Kinberg himself.

Filming for 'X-Men: Apocalypse' is scheduled to start this coming April where Oscar Isaac will be taking on the villain role of Apocalypse. Other than that, the next X-Men film will introduce younger versions of familiar X-Men mainstays Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm.

For 'X-Men: Apocalypse,' the setting will be in the 80s and there could be new mutants introduced. That includes Dazzler, Jubilee and Psylocke who would be perfect for the time setting of the next X-Men installment.

Jubilee and Psylocke would have been around during 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' but for some reason were not able to make it to the film's roster.

However, the three mutants in mention are not expected to take on major roles since the film is expected to focus more on Apocalypse and the major characters the audience has seen thus far. The major characters are of course Charles Xavier, Eric (Magneto), Raven, Hank (Beast), Moira and perhaps Wolverine if he would be included in the character list.

While the three minor characters, Dazzler, Jubilee and Psylocke are still in question, their appearance could make sense. If not for X-Men: Apocalypse, they could get more exposure in other upcoming Marvel Superhero Flicks like Gambit and Deadpool.

X-Men: Apocalypse is expected to hit the big screen next year, May 27, 2016.
