Will Lana finally show off her wrestling skills?
Well if rumors were true, we could finally be seeing Lana entering the ring not as a handler/manager but as a Diva wrestler and it could all happen at World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) SummerSlam.
Up in the air for now is a possible mixed tag match involving Dolph Ziggler and Lana against Rusev and Summer Rae. If you are not up to date with it, Lana left Rusev when the Bulgarian Brute kept on pointing to Lana as the reason for his string of losses.
Lana eventually left and aligned herself with Ziggler, which as expected drew the ire of Rusev. Summer Rae entered the fray when Rusev was all by his lonesome and has been the new woman behind the Russian monster.
Ziggler is currently out of the WWE scene due to injury according to storylines. But the real score is that Ziggler is busy filming a WWE film titled "6:42" where he is of course one of the main characters.
Ziggler is expected to be out for about a month but is believed to be returning just in time before WWE SummerSlam happens on Aug. 23, 2015.
As far as Lana is concerned, wrestling is nothing new to her. In fact, Lana was training as a wrestler some years back before suffering an injury that forced her to act out mainly as a handler/manager to Rusev.
But with these new murmurs, it seems that the undisclosed injury is nothing serious and that Lana will be fit enough to show what she can do at the WWE's next pay-per-view.
WWE SummerSlam will most likely be where Lana breaks in her actual wrestling side and could most likely lead to seeing her in Divas action from thereon but most likely in tag matches first to hone up her skills. From the looks of it, Lana is getting that much talked about push that everyone has been waiting for.
