'WWE 2K16' updates: 2K Sports looking for game designer

WWE 2K16 2K Sports

"WWE 2K16" is well underway. 2K Sports already set a release date for the highly-anticipated title. In the midst of the production, the company is on the move to find a new game designer who will help them make the latest iteration of the wrestling simulation the best in its lineup.

2K is looking for someone who has "an understanding and appreciation for all sports" and is "devoted to the success of the game and the team." The WWE franchise publisher is interested in someone who is motivated and passionate about games and sees it as fun rather than work.

On the technical side, the game company wants someone who has worked as a designer for at least two shipped video games and has "high proficiency" with computers as well as all sorts of game design software. Knowhow in "designing and developing game mechanics and systems" is needed as well.

The winning aspirant will work as a part of "WWE 2K16" developer Visual Concepts, "one of the industry's most consistently successful studios," located in Novato, California. The new game designer will join the bloc of producers, animators and team members there and in separate locations.

As for the development of "WWE 2K16," a leaked video of Jerry Lawler and Joe Ross commentating on Stone Cold Steve Austin was leaked. Prior to that, Lawler has already hinted during "Memphis Cerrito Live Radio Show" that a special Attitude Era mode is being worked on for the much-awaited title.

Meanwhile, Attack of the Fanboy petitions that fans get to choose which wrestling superstar would grace the game's cover. Fighters like Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose or Roman Reigns are being mentioned. The possibility of having multiple wrestlers on the cover is being raised, too.

Whoever 2K Sports will have on the "WWE 2K16" cover remains to be seen. The title will be released Oct. 27 domestically and Oct. 30 internationally.
