Microsoft has just recently rolled out its newest platform Windows 10. Before the release, the company has thoroughly subjected the new OS to all kinds of tests, and even introduced various preview builds to be tested directly by developers and Windows users for almost half a year.
However, it seems that even after an exhaustive trial run, the new Windows 10 is still replete with holes.
According to the users who have already upgraded to the new OS, various bugs and glitches cropped up after their system underwent a Windows 10 update. Most of the reports center on activating the update itself, to various connectivity problems to browser and WiFi.
A Windows 10 update needs to activate using the product key from a valid previous version of the OS, and according to some, the screen only shows a 'waiting to connect message'. Some have rolled back to their previous Windows platform out of frustration. However, most tech observer sites such as BGR advise users who encounter the message to patiently wait it out, since it really takes a longer time than one is accustomed to.
Meanwhile, those who are experiencing connectivity problems after the update have tried various fixes depending on the feature itself. For browser problems, the most common glitch is that Chrome may work much slower than before, and in other times even stall and crash. Chrome itself is known to be a RAM-heavy app, and most who have encountered this problem have reinstalled the browser and turned off any unnecessary plug-ins. Others users have even switched to new browsers, particularly trying out the new Edge browser included in the Windows 10 package.
Other concerns such as WiFi, audio, and various connectivity problems that were not solved with a reboot may need further complex workarounds, since Microsoft has yet to implement a full array of updated drivers specifically for each brand/model device.
