Verizon outs Android 5.0 Lollipop update for LG G2

The LG G2 may not necessarily be a new phone to many but that doesn't mean that the device is a forgotten one when it comes to getting an Android push.

And like many Android phone users who are eagerly awaiting to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop, Verizon has announced that the LG G2 is going to get the updated Android OS soon.

Verizon made the announcement last week so it may be best for Verizon subscribers to check every once in a while if their device is all set to get the said update.

Before doing so, it should be noted that the build VS98039A is a hefty release hence it would be best to make sure that they have a stable WiFi connection as well as a properly charged device (at least 80%) to make sure that all goes smoothly during the installation/ update process.

Android 5.0 Lollipop for the LG G2 is expected to include new and improved features upon the application of the latest Android OS.

Among the things to expect include an updated GUI look, improved notifications (locked/unlocked screens), new ways of setting up notification messages, new tap notifications, screen pinning, Android Lollipop home touch buttons and more.

Though there is no telling on which region would come first, it would be best to keep tabs with the OTA notifications. In the event that there is no automatic notification, LG G2 owners can resort to a manual search.

However as state earlier on, be sure that your device has the ample power requirements and stable connection to make sure that your eventual download is not hindered.

If the Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA Update is not yet within reach, give it a couple of days as Verizon incrementally tries to make the OS available for its covered regions.
