'Ultra Street Fighter 4' release date May 26 for PS4

 Sony PlayStation Blog

PlayStation 4 users will be seeing the latest iteration of "Street Fighter IV" aptly titled "Ultra Street Fighter IV" as it lands on the current-gen console next month. At long last, the game is taking the big and monumental leap fans have wanted it to take.

The title, which was released last year on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, is finally taking advantage of the power of the new console to bring fans a fighting experience like no other. Other Ocean Interactive is finishing up the game so it would be ready for its grand PS4 arrival on May 26. Those who stumbled upon input lags while playing on the PS3 will bid goodbye to the minor issue for good with this new release.

"Well, don't worry: we've eliminated it to make the PS4 edition the ultimate version on any platform, so it'll be good to go for all your tournament needs!" SCEA Third Party Production Director Gio Corsi promised in a new post on the official PlayStation Blog.

Of course, the PS4 version of the game will come complete with all the cool frills as "all the characters, all the levels and all of the DLC that have been launched so far will be included in the PS4 version of the game."

"Ultra Street Fighter IV" will roll out in one fell swoop on May 26 in Europe and in the United States. Players can get it via the PlayStation network for $25. The fighting game will only be released digitally, and there is still no word about a physical versions of the game.

Also, the lack of an Xbox One version or at least announcement for its existence has led many to believe that the title will be a PS4-exclusive. But of course, the release is still a month away, so there's plenty of time for Microsoft to disclose its plans for the title.
