"Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" is easily one of the most awaited shooters in the gaming realm. But instead of offering the game alone, Ubisoft has a better idea and that is to offer gamers the Collector's Edition of the title. The game studio calls it the "Art of Siege Edition" and it is chock-full of goodies that will be of great help in completing the shooter. Needless to say, it will also be something to marvel about, artsy-wise. Unfortunately, it will only be available in Europe.
Apart from a copy of "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege," those who purchase the limited edition goodie will be treated with a collector's box and something called the Gold Skins Pack, an add-on that will be of use to all in-game weapons.
But the tasteful one in the bunch is the exclusive 120-page tactical guide. This piece of art is full of information that will help players familiarize themselves with the game on the whole. It is basically the manual that compresses all key elements of the game in one good-looking book. With it, gamers will know all the details about the Counter Terrorist Unit and Operators. It is also rich in niceties that lay bare the "highest level of detail and statistics" of all the weapons and maps seen in the game.
Players who pre-order the "Art of Siege Edition" or just the regular game will earn access to the upcoming closed beta for the shooter. Those who pre-order from Uplay Shop will also score a numbered steelbook case.
Just recently, a gameplay video showing the Operators in action was published by Ubisoft. It boasts a team of four Operators who use tremendous force to smooth out a terrible hostage situation.
For the uninitiated, Operators come from the most elite Special Forces, tactical experts and close combat specialists from across the globe. As for the visual quality showcased in the footage, "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" is nothing short of pristine.
