Tim Tebow and Olivia Culpo breakup: Former Miss USA splits up with football player over virginity vow?

After a couple of months of dating, former Miss USA Olivia Culpo and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Tim Tebow have called it quits. Media outlets report that it was the latter's resolution to stay a virgin until marriage that ended the romance.

However, an insider revealed to US Weekly that timing is the culprit behind the split. "[Tebow] was very into her," the source said. The Heisman awardee even sends "love letters and cute notes" to profess his love.

"But she just got out of a long-term relationship, and was not interested," the insider went on to say, referring to Culpo and singer Nick Jonas's two-year relationship that ended back in June.

In a report by New York Daily News, however, another source stated that the beauty queen "had to break up with him because she just couldn't handle" Tebow's stance on his virginity vow. "He's pretty adamant about it, I guess," the source added.

As Life News points out, Tebow has always been very open about his faith and his perspective about sex before marriage. Back in 2009, the NFC star admitted that he was saving his virginity for the woman he will marry. This apparently had reporters stunned.

After the news about the Tebow-Culpo split broke, Media Research Center vice president of Research Brent Baker came to his defense after some reports mocked Tebow's abstinence and sacred promise.

"Some unoriginal and condescendingly journalists just can't miss an opportunity to ridicule someone who is devoutly religious and lives by a moral code. What did Tebow ever do to them?" Baker said as quoted by Washington Examiner.

Tebow has never shied away from professing his Christian faith from in and out the football field and has always been pro-life ever since he saw his mother risk her life to save her baby instead of getting abortion, as per Life News.

Meanwhile, both Culpo and Tebow haven't opened up about their breakup.
